PTD

“TRIGLIDE® A versatile Double Acting Piston Seal, with a very low friction and available for a wide range of diameter. Grooves as per ISO 7425/1.

Diameter Range: Ø8.00 – Ø2700.00

Standard Materials: Bronze Filled PTFE with Energiser in NBR 70 Shores (Other Compounds available,so as to suit the Application Conditions).

Temperature (ºC): -40º C to 200º C (Based on Elastomer Material).

Pressure (bar): ≤ 800 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 15.0 m/s

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based ), Water, Air etc, depending on Seal Compounds selected.

PSS

“TRITILT® Single Acting Piston Seal, offering a very low friction and also available for a large range of diameters. Best suited to be used in conjunction with PQD or PQE style of seals. Also available to ISO 7425/1 grooves, on request.

Diameter Range: Ø8.00 – Ø2700.00

Standard Materials: Bronze Filled PTFE with Energiser in NBR 70 Shores (Other Compounds available,so as to suit the Application Conditions).

Temperature (ºC): -40º C to 200º C (Based on Elastomer Material).

Pressure (bar): ≤ 800 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 15.0 m/s

PQD

Double Acting Piston Seal, with an X-Ring located on the sealing face, making it a superior choice for differential media on either sides, ie Mineral Oil/ Nitrogen Gas etc.Availability is limited owing to the limitation on sizes of X-Rings. One of the main application is in Piston type Accumulators.

Diameter Range: Ø16.00 – Ø700.00

Standard Materials: Bronze Filled PTFE with Energiser in NBR 70 Shores (Other Compounds available,so as to suit the Application Conditions).

Temperature (ºC): -40º C to 200º C (Based on Elastomer Material).

Pressure (bar): ≤ 400 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 2.0 m/s

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based ), Water, Air etc, depending on Seal Compounds selected.

PQE

Almost same as PQD Style, but better balanced than the PQD style. Also, groove dimensions not interchangeable with other seals.One of the main application is in Piston type Accumulators.

PED

Slipper Seal which offers very low friction, but not that recommended for surge pressures and also not available above 400mm.

Standard Materials: Bronze Filled PTFE with Energiser in NBR 70 Shores (Other Compounds available,so as to suit the Application Conditions).

Temperature (ºC): -40º C to 200º C (Based on Elastomer Material).

PES

Single Acting Piston Seal, with a PTFE based jacket and a cantilever spring, which offers compatibility with almost all media.Suggested to install in open grooves and also as per MIL G 5514F and ISO 3771 grooves.

Diameter Range: Ø6.00 – Ø500.00

Standard Materials: Bronze / Carbon Filled PTFE with Stainless Steel Cantilever Spring.

Temperature (ºC): -70º C to 260º C

Pressure (bar): ≤ 450 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 15.0 m/s

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based ), Water, Air, Chemical & Gases etc depending on Seal Compounds selected.

PCT

A sturdy Double Acting Seal, which enables easy handling when it comes to installation. But have limitations in Temperature, Media etc and also friction is higher compared to any PTFE based Seal. Good for Pressure holding applications.

Standard Materials: Acetal Resin Wear Ring / NBR 70 Shores Sealing Element / Polyester Resin Anti-extrusion Ring.

Temperature (ºC): -30º C to 100º C

Pressure (bar): ≤ 250 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 0.5 m/s

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based).

PCB

Almost similar in characteristics as that of PCT and PBM Style of Piston Seals, except for the groove dimensions.

Diameter Range: Ø20.00 – Ø320.00

PBM

Almost similar in characteristics as that of PCT and PCB Style of Piston Seals, except for the groove dimensions.

PSP

Double Acting Piston Seal with a shallow groove and comparatively less friction compared to PCB, PBM and PCT Style of Seals, but exhibit higher friction in comparison with any PTFE based Seals.

Standard Materials: Acetal Resin+PTFE + Glass Fibre Wear Rings / Fabric Reinforced NBR Sealing Element.

Temperature (ºC): -30º C to 120º C

Pressure (bar): ≤ 350 bar

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based).

PTC

Well known as a Double Acting Piston Seal for Heavy Duty Hydraulic Cylinders, particularly those used in Construction Equipments, experiencing Surge Pressures.Suitable for Spike pressures upto 600 Bars, with a controlled hardware. Against request, can also supply the Elastomer Energiser in HNBR or FKM, to meet media requirements or Temperature requirements.

Diameter Range: Ø20.00 – Ø500.00

Standard Materials: Acetal Resin Anti-extrusion Rings / Bronze Filled PTFE Sealing Element / Energiser in NBR.

Temperature (ºC): -30º C to 110º C

Pressure (bar): ≤ 400 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 1.5 m/s

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based).

PHC

Good old technology, where the life of the seal can be enhanced by adjusting the sealing groove width. Results in higher friction compared to other type of Piston Seals and also calls for longer Piston lengths, particularly for Double Acting Cylinders. Also, the Piston Construction is complicated, compared to expandable seals.

Standard Materials: Fabric reinforced NBR Sealing Elements.

Temperature (ºC): -30º C to 200º C (Based on Elastomer Material)

Pressure (bar): ≤ 400 bar

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based).

PHC3

Multiple Sealing edges, which can be expanded upon wearing out, by adjusting the preload, resulting in longer life of the sealing system. Can be used for higher pressures, but mostly at the cost of additional system power requirement, due to friction enhancement while tightening the sealing elements.Mostly used in Single Acting Cylinders, but not limited to.

Diameter Range: Ø20.00 – Ø1000.00

Standard Materials: Acetal Resin Leading Element / Fabric reinforced NBR Sealing Elements.

Temperature (ºC): -30º C to 150º C (Based on Elastomer Material)

Pressure (bar): ≤ 500 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 0.5 m/s

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based).

PSM

A sturdy Double Acting Pitson Seal, which finds its usage in High Pressure Cylinders, as the materials used in its construction arrests any sort of extrusion possibilities. Please take note of the limitation in the diameter range.

Standard Materials: Acetal Resin Leading Element / Fabric reinforced NBR Support Elements / NBR Sealing Elements

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based).

PAB

A Good Single Acting Piston Seal, used in low or medium demanding applications. Also available with an Anti-Extrusion Ring, which can relax the Hardware diameters, or in other words making it suitable for Pistons with larger Extrusion Gaps.

Diameter Range: Ø30.00 – Ø160.00

Standard Materials: Fabric reinforced Nitrile (Also available with Acetal Resin Anti-Extrusion Ring).

Temperature (ºC): -30º C to 120º C

Pressure (bar): ≤ 400 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 0.5 m/s

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based).

PPC

Almost similar to PSP style of Piston Seal, but due to its larger cross section, finds applications in higher pressures compared to PSP style seal. Also, take note of the limitation in diameters.

Standard Materials: Acetal Resin Wear Rings / Fabric reinforced NBR Sealing Element.

PWS

An admirable seal, in medium duty Cylinders, where the Cylinders does not experience any Surge Pressures. Being Injection Molded PU, Seal is very economical, where volumes are good. Also take note of the limitation in Temperatures.

Standard Materials: Polyurethane Sealing Element / Energiser in NBR 70 Shores.

Temperature (ºC): -30º C to 110º C

Pressure (bar): ≤ 400 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 0.50 m/s

Fluids: Hydraulic fluids (Mineral Oil based ), Water, Air etc depending on Seal Compounds selected.

PUA

Single Acting assymetric Piston Seal, suitable for a reasonable pressure range, shoulder to shoulder with several other Piston Seals. Easy assembly process makes it a leading candidate for low or medium duty single acting cylinders.Can be made available upto 1200mm, which are machined out from Cast Polyurethane tubes.

Diameter Range: Ø10.00 – Ø320.00 (1200mm)

Standard Materials: Polyurethane

Pressure (bar): ≤ 400 bar

Speed (m/s): ≤ 0.5 m/s

PPS

Single Acting Symmetric Piston Seal, makes it also suitable to be used as a Rod Seal, with almost similar characteristics as that of PUA Style Seals. Can be made available upto 1200mm, which are machined out from Cast Polyurethane tubes.

PPK

Double Acting Piston Seal, almost similar to PWS Style of Seal, except that the Energiser is a rectangular NBR element. It is said that these seals, offer much better stability during sudden reversal of directions.Seals are compatible to ISO 7425/1 grooves.

Double Acting Piston Seal, almost similar to PPK Style of Seal, except that the Energiser is a square NBR element. The groove dimensions are different from that of a PPK Style Seal.
